Our camps put high school athletes in front of coaches who work at the NCAA level — technical instruction, race preparation and the habits that separate athletes who keep improving from those who stall.

  • Rich Miller, throws coach

    Rich Miller

    THROWS

    A former UConn decathlete and team co-captain, Rich Miller is in his 30th season on the Huskies staff, where he has coached All-Americans in the pole vault and decathlon.

  • Selwyn Maxwell, sprints and hurdles coach

    Selwyn Maxwell

    SPRINTS AND HURDLES

    Selwyn Maxwell is UConn’s associate head coach. He helped lead the Huskies’ men’s and women’s programs to a sweep of the BIG EAST indoor and outdoor titles from 2022 to 2025, after coaching six NCAA All-Americans at MIT.

  • Jim Sullivan, pole vault coach

    Jim Sullivan

    POLE VAULT

    Jim Sullivan holds a Ph.D. in exercise physiology and has coached pole vaulters at Stanford, Penn State, Tennessee and UConn, including 2016 NCAA champion Jake Blankenship.

  • Darryl Sullivan, jumps coach

    Darryl Sullivan

    JUMPS

    Darryl Sullivan competed for Team USA in the high jump at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. He was a four-time All-American at Tennessee, where he still holds the school record at 7’7.75”.

  • Connor Mahoney-Ashberry, distance coach

    Connor Mahoney-Ashberry

    DISTANCE

    Connor Mahoney-Ashberry is UConn’s assistant distance coach and recruiting coordinator. Before UConn he spent time at Purdue and Alabama, where he assisted in coaching 32 NCAA Division I All-Americans and was part of the staff that won the 2017–18 USTFCCCA Program of the Year.
